There have been so many Zelda games since the original Legend of Zelda game for the NES, but series creator Shigeru Miyamoto would love to revive that first Zelda game with new graphics for a new generation. Hell, they did it with Ocarina, why not the first one? I’d buy it.
Miyamoto please, i need my money to live.
Sega Game Gear will soon be one of the consoles with games on the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console, adding a little SEGA!!! to the list of consoles that right now is Nintendo-only.
Even though Tim Schafer and Ron Gilbert of Double Fine are video game legends, having worked on such old school classics as Maniac Mansion, Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle and Grim Fandango, point and click adventure games aren’t quite the draw they used to be. But where Double Fine couldn’t find funding for a new adventure game from traditional sources for their new game, they went to Kickstarter. And in 24 hours, they had raised $1 million, breaking fundraising records on Kickstarter.
Hollywood has been on a tear of making movies out of far less lately, but New Line Cinema has bought the rights to make a film from the classic arcade game, Rampage. While I think a movie about three monsters who exist only to destroy skyscrapers with their fists could be a lot of fun, I’m not sure how one would make that into an entire movie.
Hollywood: Make a movie about monsters.
